The Best of Salt Lake City in the Spring

Salt Lake City is a special place. It's a bustling urban center, and the capital of our state. However, there's also plenty of green space and natural wonder just outside the city. Salt Lake truly offers the best of both worlds. That's one reason we at Gordon Jensen Trucking and Storage have made it our home for over fifty years.

Travel the City via Green Bike

Here at Gordon Jensen, we spend a lot of time behind the wheel of big container trucks. That's one reason it's nice to get out and about on a bike when we get a day off. Seeing the world closer to the ground, breathing in lungfuls of fresh air: it doesn't get any better than this. The exercise makes our doctors happy, too.

Tulip Festival: Lehi, Utah

Technically, Lehi is outside of Salt Lake City. But we love this festival, held annually at Thanksgiving Point. Is there anything better than fields full of tulips and a butterfly biosphere? We think not. Eat your heart out, Amsterdam!

The Redwood Drive-In Theatre

The Redwood is not only home to a great swap meet. (That's held year round.) During the spring, the screens light up as they have for generations. The Redwood is one of the last great drive-in theatres in America. Seeing a movie here is a great treat for the whole family. This great attraction is just 8 miles or so outside SLC proper.

Exploring the Parks

Salt Lake City is full to the brim with parks. Whether you're looking for a dog-friendly park, a place to take the kids, or just a space to explore, there's something just for you. We happen to love Liberty Park, home to the famed Tracy Aviary.
